Ohio Festivals

The two big Ohio Celtic festivals are fast approaching, the Dayton Celtic Festival and the Dublin Irish Festival.   Are you ready?  We certainly are!   We're super-pumped about having the chance to share the stage with some of our favorite groups!   We've got a few new songs to unveil as well that we're excited for you all to hear.

Check the schedules at both festivals and make sure to share the time and dates with all your friends.   Both festivals are a great family event!   If you're on Facebook, help us out a bit and go here and click that you Like the 9CC show here

Festivals!

It's almost festival season here in the Mid-West!   After a short break,  9CC is set to play two of our favorite festivals this year, the Dayton Celtic Festival and the great Dublin Irish Festival!    This is our first time on the Killian's Rock Stage at the DIF and we're really excited to be there and sharing the stage with some of the top names in Celtic rock, including Saw Doctors, Enter the Haggis and Seven Nations!

We're also unveiling some new music at both of these festivals, which always gets the nerves jumping a little bit, but a little bit a pressure is good, right?   So make sure to come on out to these fests and hear some  great music as well as other exciting events and neat little shops.

Thank you!

Big thanks to everyone involved with the Mid-Ohio Foodbank benefit show last weekend!   Together, we raised $1661, equaling 13,228 meals!   Thanks so much to the Shamrock Club, Mossy Moran, Dulahan, The Hooligans and of course, our own Beth Hicks for organizing the event!

Mid-Ohio Foodbank Benefit Show

On Sat., May 22nd, we are participating in a benefit that is very near and dear to our hearts. Join us for the 2nd Annual Central Ohio Celtic Musicians Fighting Against Hunger benefit for Mid-Ohio FoodBank! $10 gets you in the door and you'll enjoy these great acts:

5 p.m. Mossy Moran (www.mossymoran.com)
6 p.m. Dulahan (www.dulahan.com)
7 p.m. The Hooligans (www.thehooligans.com)
8 p.m. 9 Castle Close

You can also help us out by participating in the raffle - we've got gift certificates, jewelry, gift baskets, and much more. Proceeds benefit Mid-Ohio FoodBank. For every $1 we raise, they buy 8 meals. Our goal this year is $5,000 - which would provide 40,000 meals to those in need this summer! Not a bad outcome for an evening's worth of fun.

Food and liquor will be available, along with free parking. For more info: www.shamrockclubofcolumbus.com

May 15th with The Prodigals

Sat, May 15th, we'll be at Byrne's Pub in Columbus, OH, opening for The Prodigals.    The event is a pre-concert concert for the Andrew Grene Foundation, the brother of Gregory Grene of the Prodigals, who lost his life in the Haitian earthquake; he was a UN worker.   A great time and a great cause, what more could you ask for?

Next Up, Molly Malone's

After some St. Paddy's recovery, we're headed to Molly Malone's in Cincinnati on Sat., April 10th.   It's been a while since we've been to Molly's, so we're excited to be back.    Below is the flyer.  Feel free to save it and email it to all your friends.  We'll see you there for a night of great music and great fun!

Fantastic Time!

Well, St. Paddy's Day 2010 has come and passed, but it definitely left its mark!   We had an absolutely fantastic time at Byrne's Pub in Columbus and then at the Dublin Pub in Dayton.

We have to take a moment here to thank Shannon and Hugh for all the help and hardwork they did for us, helping get our equipment in and out of the venues quickly and getting us set up.   You guys are life savers and we appreciate all your help and support more than we can put into words!

The crowds were rockin' and as crazy as we remember them!   We hope everyone had as much fun as we did.  Heck, if you had half as much fun as we did then you had a great day.    Thanks to everyone that bought us drinks, complimented us and made our day awesome!    We'll post more pics a little bit later, but here's one from the Dublin Pub last night.

Cheers to everyone!

Dublin Irish Festival

Well, we actually did it!   We landed a slot at this year's Dublin Irish Festival!   On the weekend of Aug. 6-8th, we'll be playing with some fantastic groups from all over the world.   We're very excited to be a part of this year's festival, but that's about 8 months away, so there's plenty of work to do before then!   If you've never been to the Dublin Irish Fest, you're missing a fantastic festival, one of the best Irish festivals in the world.    Go to http://www.dublinirishfestival.org/ for more info on the festival.
